Case Study: KCSARC

After my tenure as King County Sexual Assault Resource Center’s (KCSARC) Prevention Services Coordinator, I began writing grant applications on behalf of the organization in 2019.

One of these applications was an RFP response to the federal government's Office of Violence Against Women (OVW), which was requesting project proposals for work to support the legal needs of sexual assault victims.

I authored the application in partnership with KCSARC, working with agency staff to understand their approach, programming, and funding needs. After submission and review, KCSARC was awarded $800,000 in grant funds to provide legal assistance to undocumented victims of sexual violence and their families.
